How do you know if your car needs a NEW BATTERY?

The followings are Warning Signs That May Indicate that Your Battery Is on the Fritz:

SLOW ENGINE CRANK

-
When you attempt to start the vehicle, the STARTING OF THE ENGINE IS SLOW and it takes longer than normal to start.

CHECK ENGINE LIGHT

-
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT might appear when your battery power is weak.

BATTERY LIGHT

-
The BATTERY LIGHT can get triggered when the charging system is NOT CHARGING the battery to a voltage above 13.5 volts. This could be due to Corroded Battery Cable Terminals or Damaged Battery Plates, or signal a problem with the Alternator or voltage regulator.

LOW BATTERY FLUID LEVEL

-
Car batteries typically have a part of the casing that’s Translucent so you can see the BATTERY’S FLUID LEVEL. If the fluid level is below the Lead Plates / energy conductor inside, it’s time to have the battery and charging system tested.

The Swelling, Bloating Battery Case

-
If the battery casing looks like this, it means that EXCESSIVE HEAT is causing the battery case to swell, decreasing the battery life.

Battery Leak
-
Leaking also causes the CORROSION around the POSTS - where the + and – cables connections are located, the gunk need to be removed; otherwise, the car may not start.
Old Age
-
Usually a battery can last well beyond THREE YEARS, however, it is recommended to inspect its current condition once a year.
